The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.Status: Per DiemShift: DAY SHIFTDepartment: Hospitalist ServicesPosition SummarySummary:The Hospitalist shall provide direct patient care as a "Hospitalist" in accordance with the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff of Mount Sinai South Nassau; assist in promoting the Hospitalist Services to the medical staff and the community; participate in departmental staff meetings and educational activities.QualificationsResponsibilities:Education Required• Must complete in-house orientation program• MD or DO degree.Experience And Skills• Excellent interpersonal skills• Speaks, reads and writes English• Clinical experience taking care of inpatients.License/Certifications• Licensure to practice medicine in New York State.• Registration certificate with the Drug Enforcement Agency.• Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.Working ConditionsOther information:Working Conditions• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn• Fine motor skills, typing.• Sedentary work with prolonged sitting.• Sitting in front of computer for long periods of time.• Standing for long periods of time.• Twisting and/or bending when examining patients or performing procedures.• Occasional requirement to move heavy patients greater than 100 pounds.
