MIAMI - Retail Sales Lead

Retail Sales LeadAt the Museum of Sex, Retail Sales Lead supports the award-winning retail store, which carries "best-of" products, and is known as a trusted destination for all things sexual wellness and fun. The Lead, Retail Sales will work closely with the entire Retail team to ensure that Retail sales goals are achieved by taking an active role in training all new department hires and providing Associates with coaching.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesBe an example of guest service excellence for the Associates, Retail Sales and other departmentsReport all guest complaints and staffing challenges to the Senior Leadership Team, as neededHandle operational challenges as they occurWill be in rotation for department lead responsibilities (opening, running, and closing the Retail department)Take an active role in training all incoming new hires to the departmentMaintain appearance and functionality of the Retail area – partnering with managementStay up-to-date with product knowledge, pricing, and sales processesBe knowledgeable about the museum, its history, programs, and special events and effectively communicate this information to guests.Perform additional duties as assignedEmployee QualificationsHave experience in retail operations or salesYou have an exuberant, outgoing personality and you are eager to engage guests with a smileYou have excellent communication skills, and the ability to speak and connect to all peopleYou thrive working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.You have the ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidaysStrong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a teamMultilingual is a plus!Physical Demands / Work EnvironmentThe physical demands and work environment described in this job description is representative of those that the employee will encounter and are expected to meet to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Able to move from place to place which may include standing and/or walking for extended periods of time; lift and carry up to 30 pounds short distancesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, talk, listen, and use hands to lift boxes and equipment.The work environment is an indoor, climate-controlled public area of assembly.
