Promotions Trainee

Summary/ObjectiveThe Sky Carp Promotions Trainee will play an instrumental role in the organization and production of Sky Carp promotional and theme night gameday experiences. They will have a significant role in scheduling pre-game and in-game entertainment, theme night creation, and overall execution of gameday entertainment. They will aid with the gameday run-of-show, from assisting with writing scripts pre-game to ensuring that all in-game entertainment and promos are executed seamlessly.This position is seasonal, generally limited to a maximum of 30-40 hours per week and does not include benefits other than hourly pay OR potential school credit. The pay for this position is $14/hour.The preferred start date is Monday, March 17th. This position will end in Mid-September once the baseball season concludes.An applicant should possess significant organizational skills and be ready to hit the ground running in preparation for the 2026 season.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in scheduling pre-game entertainment, including Anthem singers, flag raisers, and other concourse entertainersAssist in the planning and preparation of all theme nights for the 2026 seasonKeep a detailed list of all pre-game and in-game offerings and entertainmentAid in the production of gameday scripts, including the PA and emcee scriptsOrganize the gameday promotions staff (The Gaggle) to ensure all gameday promotions and activities are carried out as plannedAttend Baseball U training program to gain knowledge and professional developmentParticipate in professional development trainingRequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperienced in Microsoft Excel and WordFoundational understanding of run-of-show and live entertainmentFoundational understanding of video and art/design compositionOpen to professional feedback and composition critiquesStrong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently and self-motivateStrong people skills and ability to bring positive energy to every gameStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks and effectively prioritize goalsExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to learn and adapt in fast changing environments and keep calm under pressureAbility to work in flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidaysAbility to pull tarp and other minor manual labor tasksEducation and ExperienceCurrently pursuing, or already possess, a Bachelor's Degree or higher preferably in Communications, Journalism, Broadcasting, Film, or any related field.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkDays and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs.
