Substitute Custodian (25-26 SY)

Position: Substitute CustodianPay Rate: $17.00 per hourHours: Flexialbe hours on 1st and 2nd shift availableSUMMARY:Great opportunity to be part of the Upper St. Clair School district to maintain a clean and neat school facility and grounds for students, teachers, staff and members of the community in order to protect their health and safety.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Clean designated spaces, equipment and materialsPerform room and equipment set-up and breakdown for activities and eventsPerform seasonal athletic fields and general grounds workPerform general labor functions including unloading bulk material from trucksAssist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities including duties such as repairing lockers, hanging pictures and paintingMaintain building and grounds securityReport building, grounds, and equipment conditions that may need remedied or repairedParticipate in fire and emergency drills, know emergency procedures and the location and use of first-aid and firefighting equipmentMove furniture and equipmentAssists visitors utilizing the facilitiesResponsible for the preservation and maintenance of assigned tools and equipmentOperate various floor equipment, including battery-powered auto-scrubbers/buffers and high-speed/high torque propane burnishersPerform snow-removal, both operation of fuel-powered snow removal equipment and manual removal using shovelPerform other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience working in a Team EnvironmentPrevious custodian experience a plus
