The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to learning how to produce high-quality parts in a fast-paced production environment. This role is designed for someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, follows structured processes, and is looking to grow into more advanced technician responsibilities over time.Key Responsibilities:Support setup, cleaning, and operation of injection molding machines according to established process parametersFollow and accurately document setup, validation, and quality check requirementsPerform and record quality inspections at required AQL intervalsClean machines, tooling, and work areas according to defined proceduresOperate equipment as needed to support production goalsAssist in achieving daily and weekly production targets while minimizing scrap and yield lossMaintain clean, organized work areas throughout each shiftWork assigned day or night shifts based on production needsParticipate in training and development to build advanced technician skills over timeFollow all safety requirements and company policies, including tobacco-free facility guidelinesQualifications & Traits for Success: High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior manufacturing experience (especially injection molding) is a plus, but not required for the right candidateStrong safety awareness and respect for structured processesAbility to read basic prints and use hand measurement toolsStrong attention to detail and quality standardsWillingness to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentSelf-motivated with a growth mindset and interest in building a long-term career in manufacturingWork Environment / Schedule: This role is performed in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment and involves standing for extended periods and working with hands-on equipment throughout the shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The standard schedule includes 8–12-hour shifts with flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift based on production needs.Drake Plastics is a drug-free workplace.
