Design Engineer

Job Title: Design EngineerLocation: Ottumwa, IADuration: 24 months with possible extensionKey ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering design support and troubleshoot issues for the Windrower Platform production line.Develop and evaluate design improvements to enhance cost efficiency, product quality, and overall performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and supply management as needed.Define and establish engineering specifications to address routine issues and project requirements.Review and analyze test plans to ensure proper verification and validation of design changes.Required SkillsFlexibility to support production schedules, including occasional overtime.Experience with Creo or similar CAD software.Strong problem-solving capabilities.Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with product verification and validation processes.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Familiarity with SAP systems.Knowledge of assembly line processes and documentation.Experience with welding processes and related documentation.EducationBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
