Facilities Equipment Manager

At Old Dominion we are looking for individuals to join the OD Family that will provide innovative solutions and exceed expectations to keep OD the premier transportation solutions provider.The Facilities Equipment Manager is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of company facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This role oversees building maintenance, stationary equipment, vendor management, material handling assets and compliance while supporting business continuity and employee experience across corporate locations.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of facility equipment operations, including building systems, maintenance, repairs, and capital projectsManage large facility assets to include generators (mobile and stationary), compressors, and dock equipmentOversee preventive maintenance programs for equipment, forklifts, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and structural systemsDevelop and manage facilities budgets, including operating expenses and capital expendituresEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and fire code requirementsCollaborate with Construction, Operations and Finance on workplace initiatives and operational needsManage emergency response planning, business continuity, and disaster preparedness effortsDrive sustainability initiatives, energy management, and efficiency improvementsMaintain accurate documentation and facilities-related recordsProvide leadership and direction to facilities organizationJob QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of facilities management experience in a corporate or multi-site environmentStrong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and vendor managementExperience managing budgets and capital projectsFamiliarity with regulatory compliance and safety standardsStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with CMMS, space management tools, and Microsoft OfficeCertified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), LEED Accreditation are all a plusWorking Days:Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday,Working Shift:AMWork Days and Shift are estimates and are subject to change, at any given time, based on job scheduling and/or business levels.
