Mechanical Engineer – UAV DesignWe are an aerospace and robotics engineering company focused on the development of advanced autonomous unmanned aerial systems for precision data capture, inspection, mapping, and industrial surveying applications. Our integrated platforms combine aircraft structures, embedded systems, sensor payloads, and flight software to deliver high-accuracy performance in complex operational environments including infrastructure, energy, utilities, and government-related use cases.We design and manufacture full-stack UAV systems in-house, including airframes, mechanical structures, electronics integration, and payload subsystems.The RoleWe are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong design experience to support the development of next-generation UAV platforms covering airframe design, structural analysis, materials selection, payload integration, and cross-functional product development.The ideal candidate has a background in mechanical or aerospace engineering and experience working with lightweight structures, robotics, unmanned systems, or complex electro-mechanical products.You will contribute directly to the design, prototyping, testing, and refinement of flight-ready UAV systems used in real-world industrial applications.What You'll DoDesign UAV airframes and mechanical subsystems using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks or equivalent)Develop and iterate lightweight composite and polymer-based structures for high stiffness and durabilityPerform structural analysis (FEA) for vibration, fatigue, impact, and operational load casesOptimize designs for weight, manufacturability, structural performance, and integration efficiencyIntegrate sensors, payloads, and onboard electronics into UAV platformsCollaborate with electrical, software, and systems teams to ensure mechanical-electrical compatibilityDesign mounting systems, vibration isolation solutions, and thermal management featuresSupport integration of flight electronics, power systems, and onboard compute modulesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field3+ years of experience in mechanical design, aerospace, robotics, or UAV systemsStrong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent)Experience with structural analysis (FEA) and design validationUnderstanding of mechanical and electrical system integrationHands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, and testingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailPreferred QualificationsExperience in UAV, aerospace, robotics, or related high-tech hardware industriesFamiliarity with composite structures and manufacturing processesExperience with engineered polymers and additive manufacturing techniquesKnowledge of vibration isolation and precision payload integrationExposure to flight testing or aerodynamic considerationsExperience in fast-paced, iterative hardware development environments
