Purchasing Manager

An automotive manufacturing company in Greenville is looking for a results-driven Purchasing Manager to oversee sourcing activities and supplier partnerships. This role will play a key part in ensuring reliable supply, competitive cost structures, and continuous improvement across the supplier base, with a strong focus on fasteners and precision components. Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate all purchasing activities, ensuring alignment with operational and commercial objectivesGuide and support the purchasing team while maintaining accountability for resultsSource and evaluate supplier pricing to support customer quotes and new program launchesCreate and manage purchase orders for new product introductions and ongoing productionLead commercial discussions with global suppliers to optimize pricing, lead times, and contract termsMonitor supplier performance and drive improvements based on quality, delivery, and cost metricsHandle supplier non-conformances, claims, and escalation processesIdentify and execute cost-reduction opportunities and value-added initiativesQualifications: 4+ years of direct purchasing experience for metric fasteners within the automotive sectorDemonstrated success managing suppliers and conducting commercial negotiationsHands-on experience using MRP systems in a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of IATF 16949 / TS 16949 standards and expectationsStrong understanding of automotive production and supply chain processesAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications, from straightforward to advancedFamiliarity with global and public standards such as ISO, DIN, ASME, and SAEBenefits & Compensation: $120k Health Insurance, PTO, 401k
