JOB SUMMARY:A Kitter interprets assignments and directions, using a headset, and then inspects and pulls cabinet material to deliver to the assembly lines.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Accurately interpret product labels and utilize computer systems to pick and deliver materialInspect material for quality and report material flaws appropriatelyPull carts throughout isles, efficiently picking material, and deliver completed cart(s) to staging areas at assembly line(s)Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeepingOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Required Skills and Abilities:Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variancesAbility to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measureRequired Education and Experience:High school diploma or G.E.D.Required Physical Ability:Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to climb and perform various duties from a ladder at various heightsFrequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushingRegularly lift and/or move up to 30lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbWORKING CONDITIONS:Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperaturesProtective safety gear will be required including safety glasses and ear protectionThe noise level is usually moderate to highOccasional overtime and weekend work as requiredAN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERThe American Woodmark Corporation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, religion, veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation, or gender; and it will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local discrimination laws.
