The regular hours for this position are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.Do you love working with your hands? If this speaks to you, then what would you say to a paid training opportunity in the dental field that doesn’t require a college degree?At National Dentex, we are offering career-focused individuals the opportunity to learn our craft with on-the-job paid training.If you thrive in a team environment, if you’re passionate about helping people, if you’re skilled with your hands, and if you’re committed to learning – we want to hear from you…Primary Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions Of The PositionRead prescriptions and specifications received from dentistLocate the proper shade tab from the appropriate shade guideSet up for staining and glazing by preparing work area and working materialsPlace crown or bridge on a hemostat for easier handlingCover with a thin coat of liquid glazeAdd the gingival-cervical color to the crown or bridge using the appropriate stainsCreate the illusion of separation between teeth on bridgesCreate a “framing effect” by using white or blue stain to brighten and enhance translucencyUse lingual staining techniques to accentuate the framing effectCreate the cementum-enamel junction using the correct techniqueCreate the incisal characterization using the correct technique to create the desired effect on anteriors and occlusal characterization on posteriorsCheck the crown or bridge with the shade tab to be sure the colors are correctFire the crown or bridge at the correct temperature for the appropriate amount of timeCheck the crown or bridge again to be sure the color does not need correctionFire at the correct temperature and for the appropriate amount of timeApply glaze to the crown or bridge and use a clean brush to remove any excess inside the abutments or the crownAll other duties as assignedSkills And Abilities RequiredMust be able to read, write, speak and understand EnglishExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityDetail orientedMust be able to distinguish different colorsMinimum Education And Experience RequiredPreferred: High school diploma or GED equivalentNo experience required Hazardous Materials Or Equipment UsedOvensPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods of time
