Ranch Hand (Full-time, Resident)

Cross Canyon Ranch is located in western Montana and is a beautiful 10,000 acre ranch with abundant game and wild life. We are looking for a resident Ranch Hand who will assist the Ranch Manager with the following duties: General Ranching Haying and operating haying equipment Fixing and building fence Feeding hay with processor in winter Performing hard physical labor and lifting in excess of 100 pounds at a time Equipment operation Operation of tractors backhoe, skid steer, and hay equipment. Welding Maintaining equipment · Cattle/Horse duties Low stress cattle handling skills Moving to and from forest by horse Moving to new pastures by horse Checking cattle by horse weekly Doctoring Calving/Tagging Irrigation Flood irrigation. Experience is great but a great attitude and can-do attitude is a must. I am willing to train for the right individual. Nice House and utilities are part of the wage. Monthly wage is very competitive and based on experience. This is a drug free ranch. This work is difficult and demanding. The pure physical effort needed cannot be overstated.
