Hospitality AideHours | Schedule: Per diem, Varies | Five (5) shifts per calendar month, based on the needs of the department. Two (2) shifts per month must be on a weekend.Location | Department: Chelsea Retirement Community | Memory Care/Assisted LivingOverviewThe Hospitality Aide provides non-direct care support to residents while providing exceptional customer service all residents, family members, co-workers, volunteers, visitors and other service professionals.What You’ll DoTransport residents to Activities, Meals, and other areas as requestedAnswers call lights and provides support within the scope of the Hospitality roleProvides 1:1 sitting services as requested by clinical staffProvides companionship and visit with Residents Keep residents’ rooms clean and suppliedMake beds and change bedding as requested by the RCADeliver food trays to resident rooms (along with picking them up)Passing of ordered supplements/snacksStraightening/cleaning roomsPut away delivered supplies in stock roomRemove trash from resident rooms Label patient clothingEmpty linen carts- taking to soiled utility roomCleaning resident equipment (lifts, vitals machines, etc)Cleaning of wheelchairsEnsure linen rooms/patient rooms are stocked with towels, etc as neededMaintains confidentiality in relation to all residents, healthcare staff and documentation in accordance with policy and state regulationsMaintains and enhances skill through attending appropriate trainingAppearance is professional and complies with the dress codeMaintains a cooperative manner towards residents, families and all members of the health care team. What It TakesAbility to read, write, understand and carry out directions. Experience providing support in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required. Ability to perform job related duties which may require lifting, standing, bending, stretching, walking, pushing, and pulling.
