Java and J2EE Developer (Vertex App. exp.)

Overview In this role you will develop and support Java/J2EE applications within Vertex-centric environments, delivering deployment, integration, and maintenance across client projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, perform on-site and remote support, and contribute to a global delivery model. The position offers a path to work with Vertex Central components and related tech stacks in a full-time capacity. ResponsibilitiesProvide IT application support, deployment and integration for Vertex-based solutionsLead design and architecture review for projectsSupport Vertex Web services and Vertex Databases; operate related tools (BCI, OIC, RTE)Handle on-site client work, remote troubleshooting, and 24x7 beeper supportCollaborate in a multi-stakeholder environment and resolve customer issues by logging and validating bugs/enhancementsParticipate in order-to-cash or purchase-to-pay process areas as relevantWork with Java/J2EE and web servers (Apache, IBM HTTP, IIS) and application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere)Engage in data and security considerations (Oracle SQL, LDAP)Understand and implement n-tier architecture in client deploymentsCommunicate effectively via phone, email, or face-to-face Key requirementsAt least 5 years IT experience with support, deployment, and integrationAt least 4 years SDLC experienceAt least 4 years of project lifecycle experience on development and maintenance projectsAt least 2 years in design and architecture review2+ years Vertex Web services and Vertex Databases experienceThorough understanding of Vertex Central components (My Enterprise, tax Setup, Tools & Reporting)Experience with BCI, Oracle Integration Component (OIC), Retail Tax Extract (RTE), XML Web Services, Windows Services for VertexExperience with n-tier architectures and associated servers (Citrix, App Server, Web Server, Database Server)Ability to work in cross-functional teams and global delivery environmentStrong analytical and communication skillsTeam collaborationAnalytical thinkingClear communicationVertex Web servicesVertex DatabasesJava
