Job Description As a Process Engineer at onsemi, you will develop and support photolithography processing in the 24x5 manufacturing of wafers used for automotive and consumer applications worldwide. You may also provide process engineering support for additional process areas. In this team‑based environment, you will work closely with Device, Process, and Design Engineers to provide robust, quality products to our customers. Responsibilities Own critical photo processes and associated measurement equipment in a fast‑paced, 24/5 manufacturing environment. Previous experience with ASML stepper job layouts and spin‑coating processes is a plus. Apply technical skills to implement equipment and process improvements that increase product performance, reduce cost, and increase throughput and yield. Design and document experiments utilizing engineering methodology (DOE, statistical analysis, etc.) to improve yield, cost, and/or throughput. Resolve complex, time‑sensitive technical problems to maintain production or development schedules. Make decisions using data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) techniques. Within the first three to six months, demonstrate the following: Provide daily process and product lot disposition support in the respective processing area. Learn to operate and utilize inspection and metrology tools for process and lot characterization and disposition. Acquire a fundamental understanding of photolithography process and equipment. Within the first six to twelve months, Show measurable progress improving the area’s performance in support of the site’s goals. Lead and deliver at least one cost‑reduction, throughput‑improvement, or yield‑improvement project with other engineers and technicians. Develop advanced sustaining responsibilities and contribute to cost reduction, yield improvement, and production throughput increase. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Materials Science, Physics, or another related engineering discipline (required). Self‑starter with a history of project completion and a focus on organization and detail. Strong communicator who can effectively collaborate with manufacturing operators, equipment and process technicians, and other engineers to drive department improvement. Semiconductor experience through full‑time industry experience, internships, or coursework/labs is preferred. Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control.
