Senior Structural Analysis Engineer

Overview As a Structural Analysis Engineer at Anduril, you apply first-principles analysis to ensure the integrity and performance of multi-domain systems. You will work with cross-functional hardware teams to translate analytical results into sound designs and verifiable test results. The role spans static and dynamic analyses, FEM development, and validation activities that support customers, standards, and safety requirements. Compensation / Benefitscompetitive benefits packageequity grantstop-tier benefits for full-time employeeshealth and recovery supportcareer development opportunities ResponsibilitiesPerform static and dynamic structural analyses across sea, ground, air, and space domains using first principles and appropriate methods (hand calculations, spreadsheets, scripts, detailed FEA)Develop and own FEM creation and organization at the global and subsystem levelCollaborate with hardware engineers to drive proper designs based on analytical resultsConduct and support validation testing, including instrumentation setup, data collection, and model correlationDocument analysis methodology and results in technical reports for internal teams and external stakeholdersEnsure designs meet customer requirements, industry standards, and safety regulationsStay current with advancements in analysis techniques, materials technology, and industry standards Key requirementsBS or higher degree in engineering or applied physics with a focus in structuresDeep understanding of statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, and materials propertiesProficiency in FEA software (NASTRAN/ Abaqus preferred) solution sequences for linear and non-linear static, dynamic and buckling analysesExperience with CAD tools (NX, Solidworks)Proficiency in Matlab or Python (or equivalent) for developing analytical models, data acquisition, and automationHighly motivated, self-starting, and able to perform duties autonomously without supervisionVery organized and willing to establish scope and requirements for ill-defined problemshigh motivationself-starting/autonomystrong organizationFEA (NASTRAN, Abaqus)static and dynamic analysisbuckling analysis
