Job Type: Full-TimeSalary Range: $110,000-$145,000Location: Moncks Corner, SC Job Description:LBE, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a motivated full-time Mechanical Engineer in its Moncks Corner, SC office. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience working for an engineering firm and must hold at least a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a proven understanding of applied HVAC and Plumbing engineering. Our projects include new construction and renovation projects across federal, commercial, and industrial business sectors in the United States and abroad.Responsibilities Include:Perform mechanical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion;Prepare mechanical detailing for construction drawings;Apply strong knowledge of commonly used mechanical engineering and design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the mechanical engineering industry;Establish and implement standards, processes, procedures, and workflows;Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced team members;Perform construction administration activities – responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and other related activities;Completes site visits to assess conditions;May perform project or design management duties;May travel (<10%) to customer sites for field inspections.Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering;-Current Professional Engineer License plus ability to obtain licensing in other states;-5-15 years design experience;-Working knowledge of applicable design and building codes including IBC, IMC, IPC ASHRAE;-Basic knowledge of the NEC (NFPA 70);-Proficiency in production software, including Carrier HAP, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Revit, and AutoCAD.-Ability to prioritize and execute tasks accurately, effectively, and confidently;-Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills;-Effective verbal and written communication skills;-Eligibility for a U.S. Security ClearanceDesired Experience -Experience working with Federal/Military Facilities.-Experience working on federal projects with knowledge of the UFC and UFGS.-LEED-AP certification or ability to become certified within six months-Ability to develop detailed specifications in SpecsIntact formatting/software-Strong understanding of control systems over all HVAC system types.-Experience in conducting LCCAs and VE studies.Submission Requirements:-Cover Letter-Current resume including referencesSalary Range-$110,000-145,000 a yearLocation: South Carolina (Required)Language: English (Required)Work Location: One locationIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.This position does not have the option for remote work, it is an in office position at our Moncks Corner, SC location.
