Normal Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)Position SummaryResponsible for coordinating and analyzing chemical and process control tests in the lab of an Aerospace and Defense surface finishing facility.The Ideal Candidate Will BeIntellectually curious about the business and the world around them.Possess a bias for action, moves with a sense of urgency.Coachable, open to learn, grow and develop through feedback channels.Interested in future upward mobility and potentially taking a larger role within the business.Emotionally intelligent and able to build strong trust with leaders and employees of diverse backgrounds and situations at all levels.Collaborative, marked by transparency and flexibility, with a commitment to foster teamwork.An exceptional communicator in both written and verbal interactions; clear and concise.Comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, nimble and responsive in the short-term while driving progress on longer-term initiatives.ResponsibilitiesEnsure that required chemical solution testing is performed according to established schedules.Ensure that process control tests (test panels, etc.) are performed according to established schedule.Maintain control of laboratory documentation.Review and implementation of testing for Aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) specifications.Data entry into True Chem (LIMS-data collection Software).Participate in environmental reporting as directed.Maintain preparation standardization of lab solutions.Responsible for ordering of lab supplies and maintaining inventory.Responsible for calibrating equipment as necessary.Maintain a tidy work environment in the lab.Participate in process improvement efforts.Works closely with supervisors and employees throughout the facility.Responsible for cross-reviewing test data of other Laboratory personnel.Review and implementation of quality assurance requirements.Ensure safe work practices are performedOther duties as assigned.QualificationsStrong computer skills using MS Office products as well as ERP system (Syteline) experience is preferred.Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.Read/Write/Communicate in English.Must be able authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.Education/Previous Experience RequirementsBS/BA in Chemistry or other similar science.Minimal work experience required as we are able to train from within.Prefer basic wet chemistry skills, titrations, analytical skills, and spectroscopy experience.Data Collection And Interpretations Experience Are Also Required.Desire to work in the Aerospace and Defense industry
