In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that merchant partners operate in alignment with Snap’s policies, regulatory expectations, and ethical standards. You’ll play a key part in onboarding, monitoring, and managing merchant relationships while driving forward compliance initiatives that mitigate risk and support business growth.How You’ll Make An ImpactMerchant Compliance Strategy: Develop and maintain merchant compliance standards, policies, and procedures aligned with company objectives and regulatory expectations.Ongoing Monitoring: Implement risk-based monitoring practices to detect non-compliance, suspicious activity, or performance concerns across the merchant network.Investigations & Issue Management: Investigate merchant escalations or potential violations, coordinate responses with relevant stakeholders, and recommend corrective actions.Audit Readiness: Maintain accurate records and controls to support internal audits and regulatory reviews involving merchant activities.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Compliance, Legal, Sales, and Risk to integrate merchant oversight into broader company risk management efforts.Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop dashboards and reports that highlight merchant performance, risk trends, and compliance status.Education & Training: Support internal and external education efforts on merchant compliance standards, policies, and responsibilities.Drive Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding and oversight processes while maintaining compliance rigor.Team Coordination: Provide guidance to analysts and specialists supporting merchant compliance operations.What You’ll Need To SucceedBachelor’s degree in Business, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance, Business or related field3+ years of experience in compliance, risk, or third-party/merchant oversight role (preferably in financial services, fintech, or payments)Knowledge of merchant onboarding and underwriting best practices and third-party/vendor risk frameworksStrong understanding of compliance and regulatory expectations, including UDAAP and fair lending principlesAbility to manage cross-functional projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication, documentation, organizational and analytical skillsHigh level of integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detailComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple prioritiesWhy Join Us:Generous paid time offCompetitive medical, dental & vision coverage401K with company match for USCompany-paid life insuranceCompany-paid short-term and long-term disabilityAccess to mental health and wellness resourcesCompany-paid volunteer time to do good in your communityLegal coverage and other supplemental optionsA value-based culture where growth opportunities are endlessMore:Snap values diversity and all qualified applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
