Paraplanner/Support Advisor

The Support Advisor reports to the Lead Advisor and is responsible for providing technical support for the Lead Advisor. Responsibilities include: data gathering, modeling, case design, scenario building, and plan and presentation development.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Support Lead Advisor with analysis, client service, and technical assistance Learn the technical aspects of the Advisor position and prepare to service clients independentlyManage data and plans in financial planning softwareResponsible for client meeting preparation and follow-up including assembling requisite paperwork, account reviews, report generation and meeting documentationAnalyze asset allocation and generation rebalancing tradesResearch investment managers, services, products and pricingUnderstand and leverage the resources available at the Broker Dealer to the fullest extentCommitment to culture requires a demonstration of professionalism, accountability, customer/client focus, and teamworkDevelop Centers of Influences such as community involvement, CPA's and attorneys, etcOther duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneKnowledge, Skills, And/or AbilitiesExpert computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point) are essential Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writingStrong time management and organizational skills; able to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks at onceAbility to quickly mater tools of the industry - financial planning software, analytical tools and broker/dealer or custodian systemsEducation And/or ExperienceBachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related fieldThe ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry allowing for a strong understanding of broker/dealer operations and financial services products, including but not limited to: equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance, and managed accountsPrevious experience in the independent financial services culture preferred Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationSeries 7 and 63 requiredSeries 65/66 preferred (or ability to obtain)CFP or CIMA preferred
