Controller

Hands on, progressive Controller needed to join a manufacturing organization in Milton, New York (zip 12547) on a permanent basis - Up to $165,000. A highly respected manufacturing organization in Milton, New York, are looking to recruit a Controller on a permanent basis. The Controller will report into the CFO and will have sole responsibility for a business entity with a revenue of $60m per annum. The position offers very strong progression with a clear path into Director of Finance and eventually into a group role. *The key responsibilities of the Controller will include, but will not be limited to:* - Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the entity including monthly financial reporting. - Completion of the monthly close including production of the financial statements. - Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. - Conduct account reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. - CAPEX reporting. - Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. - Build meaningful busniess relationships with Plant Managers and operational leads. - Develop and maintain forecasting models to support business planning and decision-making - Manage the general ledger and ensure proper recording of transactions. - Coordinate the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing budget monitoring and analysis. - Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives. *Qualifications and experience desired include but are not limited to:* - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA designation preferred). - Manufacturing industry experience is essential. - Proven experience as a Controller or similar role. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. - Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel). - Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. - Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. - Be willing to work onsite in Milton (NY 12547) 5 days per week, This is a great opportunity for any one in a finance leadership position with manufacturing experience, to join a highly respected and successful owner managed business in Milton.
