This role will primarily focus on the installation and service of video surveillance (CCTV) and access control systems, with opportunities to work on intrusion (burglar) and fire alarm systems as well.This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys working in the field, values craftsmanship, and wants to continue developing their skills with modern, cloud-based security technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, program, and service CCTV and access control systems across commercial job sitesTroubleshoot and maintain existing security systems, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfactionAssist with installation and service of burglar alarm and fire alarm systems as neededWork with a variety of leading manufacturers and platforms, including Axis, Avigilon, Verkada, Fire-Lite, and PotterSupport deployment of cloud-based security systems, including system configuration and client setupRun wiring, mount devices, terminate connections, and ensure clean, professional installationsCollaborate with team members, project managers, and clients to complete projects efficientlyTravel to job sites throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbsWhat Makes This Opportunity UniqueExposure to modern, cloud-based security platforms (a major shift in the industry)Opportunity to work on custom, client-specific solutions rather than ookie-cutter installsGrowing company environment with long-term career potentialHands-on experience across multiple system types and technologiesCompensation & Benefits$28.00 – $46.00 per hour (based on experience)Paid Time OffOn-the-job training and continued skill developmentRequirementsQualifications3+ years of hands-on experience in physical security or low-voltage systemsProven experience installing and servicing:CCTV / Video Surveillance systems (required)Access Control systems (preferred)Fire Alarm systems (preferred)Experience working with multiple system manufacturers and platformsComfortable working on your feet and in the field for the majority of the dayStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to travel locally within the Chicagoland areaMotivated to learn and grow within a fast-evolving, technology-driven industry Salary Description $26 - $28/hr
