Benefits of working for CFO’s Domain include:Diverse project experience in across industry sector, company size, and geographySupercharge your personal and professional growthRapidly expand your networkAvoid company politics while focusing on solving interesting problemsAction oriented role focused on business impact401K, medical benefitsProfit Sharing and Cash Balance PlansPlease find a sampling of the type of work we do below:INTERIM DIRECTOR OF TECHICAL ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the evaluation and implementation of new accounting standards and policy changes, ensuring alignment with applicable reporting frameworks.Serve as the internal subject matter expert on technical accounting matters, providing guidance to accounting, finance, and operational teams.Research complex accounting topics and prepare technical accounting memos and documentation for internal leadership and external audit review.Partner cross-functionally to assess impact of accounting changes on financial statements, systems, & processes.Support the preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.Act as a key liaison with external auditors, supporting technical discussions, reviews, and audit processes.Drive improvements in accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation standards.Support system and process changes related to accounting updates, including chart of accounts, reporting structures, and financial workflows.Lead in project-based initiatives, including system implementations, accounting transformations, & regulatory changes.Provide training and guidance to finance teams on new accounting policies, standards, and interpretations.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.CPA required; Big 4 or national public accounting experience strongly preferred.10+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or accounting policy roles.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (and/or IFRS) and experience with accounting standard implementation.Proven experience drafting technical accounting memos and supporting audit documentation.Experience working in complex, multi-entity or global organizations preferred.Strong understanding of financial reporting, disclosures, and internal control frameworks.Ability to translate complex accounting guidance into practical business applications and process changes.Strong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders across finance, operations, and leadership.Experience with financial systems, reporting tools, and ERP platforms preferred.
