DescriptionWe are looking for a Project Manager to be responsible for handling our company's ongoing operations projects. The Project Manager oversees different initiatives or projects of our business, monitors their progress and completion, and ensures that they meet the key performance indicators. Although our Project Manager usually doesn’t need to perform the hands-on tasks involved in a project, they must possess some degree of knowledge with regards to the various aspects of the projects.The Project Manager will be working closely with the Operations team to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans. To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in project management and the ability to lead project teams of various sizes. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired, but not required. This role will be located in Houston, TX and report into the Chief Operating Officer (COO).Duties And Responsibilities Actively coordinate with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, schedules, and financial targets. Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Submit project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards. Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information. Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution. Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget. Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients. Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements. Serve as a thought partner to members of leadership and help to translate their visions into defined objectives and plans by analyzing prioritization, work plans, timelines, & financial outcomes for leadership. Develop and implement detailed plans for strategic and business critical projects including information such as project charter, objectives, scope, coordinating teams to drive impact and project acceleration. Ability to apply and integrate technological skills in digitalization, automation, data analytics, machine learning/artificial intelligence to projects. Effectively communicate technical aspects of a project by translating them into commercial aspects relevant to any given audience. Manage data to forecast and have a tight control of operating expenses and operating metrics to provide visibility into EBITDA and cash flow performance. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Lead and drive multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams, including engineering, operations, vendor management, logistics and services to ensure successful project execution. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the oversight of team development and process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution. Lead the project team in establishing the execution plan, overseeing project hand-over, and controlling activities for internal and external resources to continually increase the effectiveness of executing predetermined goals and objectives. All other duties as assigned.Requirements A bachelor’s degree or master's degree in a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. 5 plus years of experience managing large complex projects; scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, prioritizing, risk identification and mitigation. Demonstrated leadership skills and a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams, including program management, services, engineering, operations, and logistics. Experience in identifying and implementing cost savings measures within project. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present complex issues to multi-level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external Customers. Proven experience in project management. Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion. Able to complete projects in a timely manner. Understanding of ERP system, preferable Epicor. Budget management experience. Up to 50% international travel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving measurable improvements in operational performance Multi-site operations management experience is a plus. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment, under tight deadlines. Strong problem solving and time management skills; a results-oriented work ethic, and ability to work alone with limited direct supervision. High degree of integrity and conviction to getting the job done, on time and on budget. Technical proficiency a must (MS Office, Epicor ERP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.). Experience in data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX). Ability to travel up to 50% between facilities. May require lifting (up to 35 lbs.), bending and squatting.
