Certified Surgical Technologist-Contract RoleLocation: Temple, TX, 76508Assignment Duration: 12 WeeksOpen to Local & Travel CandidatesPosition Highlights:Shift: 10-hr Days | 07:00 AM - 05:00 PMGuaranteed Hours: 40 hours/weekWeekly Pay Rate: $2240 - $2400Responsibilities:Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by anticipating surgeon needs to make sure the procedure is executed as smoothly and efficiently as possible.Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and properly arranged.Maintain a sterile field and follow strict aseptic techniques throughout the procedure.Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during operations.Handle specimens for lab analysis in accordance with protocols.Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after the surgery to prevent retained items.Assist in post-operative cleanup and preparation of the room for the next case.Monitor and ensure adherence to infection control and safety procedures.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED (required)Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (required)Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA or NCCT (required)Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required)1+ year of recent operating room experience.Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniqueAbility to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and teamwork skillsReady to take the next step?
