This role is responsible for transforming complex, often variable post-production work (repairs, retrofits, and service campaigns) into structured, repeatable, and auditable processes within our manufacturing systems.You will work closely with Field Service, Depot Operations, Quality, and Engineering to ensure repair activities are executed consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with evolving quality standards.ResponsibilitiesRepair Process Development & StandardizationDesign, develop, and implement standardized repair processes for component-level and system-level work (including retrofits, service campaigns, and major repairs)Translate field and depot repair activities into structured workflows, including work instructions, routing steps, and repair travelersDefine and maintain repair kits, configurations, and associated BOM updates where applicableManufacturing Systems IntegrationBuild and maintain digital repair workflows within the MES/manufacturing systemEnsure all repair processes are clearly defined, traceable, and executable by technicians in a controlled environmentContinuously refine system-based processes to improve usability, accuracy, and execution consistencyCross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with Field Service Representatives (FSRs), Depot teams, and Mission Support leadership to capture real-world repair needs and operational constraintsCollaborate with Quality Engineering to ensure repair processes support inspection points, auditability, and compliance with ISO9001 standardsInterface with product and test engineering teams to incorporate validated repair methods and failure insights into standardized processesContinuous Improvement in Service OperationsIdentify opportunities to improve repair efficiency, reduce variability, and increase repeatability across service operationsSupport the transition of ad hoc or emergent repair activities into controlled, repeatable workflowsDrive process improvements that reduce turnaround time and improve execution quality without sacrificing rigorDocumentation & ComplianceDevelop and maintain clear, controlled documentation for all repair processesEnsure processes are structured to support internal audits and quality inspectionsContribute to the maturation of Mission Support processes in alignment with ISO9001 standardsTraining & Operational SupportProvide guidance and training to technicians and field teams on newly developed repair processesSupport deployment of new or updated workflows across depot and field environmentsTroubleshoot process gaps and iterate quickly based on operational feedbackQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field5–8+ years of experience in manufacturing, production engineering, or service/repair operations for complex electromechanical systemsExperience developing work instructions, routings, and process documentation within an MES or ERP systemStrong understanding of how to translate variable, real-world work into standardized and repeatable processesExperience working cross-functionally with operations, field service, and quality teamsFamiliarity with structured quality systems (ISO9001 or similar) and audit-ready process designAbility to operate in environments with both high variability (emergent repairs) and increasing standardizationStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance speed, structure, and practicalityNice to HaveExperience supporting service operations, warranty programs, or post-production repair environmentsFamiliarity with diagnostics, failure analysis, or test engineering workflows (in collaboration, not ownership)Exposure to maritime, robotics, or autonomous systemsBenefits:Medical Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance plans covering a range of servicesSaronic pays 100% of the premium for employees and 80% for dependentsDental and Vision Insurance: Coverage for routine dental check-ups, orthodontics, and vision careSaronic pays 100% of the premium under the basic plan for employees and 80% for dependentsTime Off: Generous PTO and HolidaysParental Leave: Paid maternity and paternity leave to support new parentsCompetitive Salary: Industry-standard salaries with opportunities for performance-based bonusesRetirement Plan: 401(k) plan with company matchStock Options: Equity options to give employees a stake in the company’s successLife and Disability Insurance: Basic life insurance and short- and long-term disability coveragePet Insurance: Discounted pet insurance options including 24/7 Telehealth helplineAdditional Perks: Free lunch benefit and unlimited free drinks and snacks in the officeThis role requires access to export-controlled information or items that require “U.S. Person” status.
