This role is responsible for leading complex, multi-discipline projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will manage projects from pursuit through delivery, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure both technical excellence and financial performance.This is a fully remote position offering long-term stability, leadership impact, and the opportunity to work with a collaborative, growth-oriented organization.Position SummaryThe Multi-Discipline Project Manager will plan, organize, and execute projects of varying size and complexity in alignment with company policies, procedures, and best practices. This individual will lead teams that may include Project Managers, Engineers, Architectural Designers, and external consultants while maintaining strong client relationships and driving business development efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & ExecutionLead multi-discipline projects from proposal through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with client and regulatory requirementsPerform initial project planning, including schedule development, resource allocation, consultant coordination, file setup, and project accountingServe as Lead Project Manager on assigned projects, including self-generated and internally assigned workDelegate tasks based on expertise, workload, and project prioritiesOversee internal quality control processes, review drawing and calculation submissions, and ensure incorporation of QA/QC feedbackClient & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, consultants, and vendorsAddress client questions and concerns throughout the project lifecycleEstablish, maintain, and grow long-term client relationships to support repeat businessAssist in securing new work through proposals and ongoing business development effortsFinancial & Contract OversightDevelop and manage project budgets aligned with contracted feesConduct cost analyses and prepare project estimates for proposalsMaintain accurate project accounting records and contracted fee trackingReview and approve client invoices in a timely mannerAssist with the collection of aged accounts receivableCoordinate contract documents, including prime agreements, subconsultant contracts, purchase orders, lien waivers, and NDAsDemonstrate awareness of legal and contractual risk considerationsTeam Leadership & MentorshipLead, mentor, and develop project team members to promote technical growth and efficiencyProvide performance feedback and support professional developmentFoster a collaborative, accountable, and positive team cultureCompliance, Documentation & Best PracticesEnsure compliance with federal, state, local, contractual, and company standardsMaintain organized electronic and hard-copy project recordsCommunicate effectively with project teams to manage multiple concurrent projects with accuracy and efficiencyProfessional EngagementCollaborate with leadership, marketing, and business development teams to support company growthParticipate in continuing education, professional organizations, and networking activitiesMaintain required professional development hours for licensure, as applicablePerform additional duties as assignedQualifications & ExperienceEducation & CredentialsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC), or a closely related field (required)Professional Engineer (PE/SE) licensure preferredExperience10+ years of experience in engineering, architecture, or building designMinimum of 6 years leading and supervising project teamsProven experience managing multi-discipline projectsSkills & CompetenciesExceptional leadership, supervisory, and team management skillsStrong budgeting, cost control, and financial management abilitiesExcellent time management with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsClear, professional written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and organizational excellenceStrong interpersonal and client service skillsAbility to prioritize, delegate, and manage competing prioritiesAbility to produce clear, organized handwritten notes or meeting documentationProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar project documentation toolsWhy Partner with Cornerstone RecruitingCornerstone Recruiting specializes in aligning high-impact professionals with organizations where they can lead, grow, and make a measurable difference.
