Manager of Internal Controls Internal Controls Irvine, CA Full-time What We Are Looking For The Manager of Internal Controls will be responsible for independently reviewing and evaluating the company's financial and operational processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls, applicable regulations, and identifying areas for improvement by conducting audits across various departments, including sales, accounting, inventory, and operations, while reporting findings and recommendations to management to mitigate risks and optimize efficiency within the organization. Responsibilities:Advise executive, senior management on various matters such as legal rights, and new and existing lawsDevelop and execute comprehensive audit plans, including risk assessments, to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls across different business functionsConduct detailed audits of financial records, operational processes, and compliance procedures to identify potential risks and areas for improvementPerform data analysis, review documentation, and interview key personnel to gather evidence supporting audit findingsPrepare clear and concise audit reports detailing findings, root causes, and actionable recommendations to managementCommunicate audit results to relevant stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and compliance officersFollow up on corrective actions to ensure identified issues are addressed effectivelyStay updated on relevant accounting standards, industry regulations, and internal policies to ensure compliance across the organizationMonitor for potential fraudulent activities and report any suspicious transactions to appropriate authoritiesIdentify and assess key business risks across the organization, including financial, operational, and compliance risksDevelop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified risks Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldAt least 5-8 years of experience in internal auditingProven experience in internal auditing with a strong understanding of accounting principles and internal control frameworksExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex dataStrong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate audit findings to managementProficient in data analysis tools and softwareAbility to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications:Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designationGood understanding of industry and product lines This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
