Trust Accountant

Candidate Must Live Locally (LA, Ventura, IE, Orange Counties)! This opportunity is Remote with Flexibility, which means you must be available to come in on occasion for events like Training, Team building etc. 2+ years of trust accounting is a must, preferably in a law firm environmentLeading Global Law Firm is searching for a well-versed Trust Accountant based in their LA office. The Trust Accountant will be an integral part of the Finance Team.Responsibilities include:Coordinating with attorneys and various departments to initiate trust account disbursements accurately and in a timely mannerEnsuring client trust accounting practices are in compliance with laws and regulationsManaging accurate trust transaction records and providing regular updatesResponding to attorney, staff, and client inquiries regarding trust account transactions/balancesReviewing/maintaining trust account documentation, including bank statements, transaction reports, and reconciliation reportsQualifications:Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong project management and time management skillsExperience:University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field2+ years of experience in trust accounting, preferably in a law firm environmentKnowledge of trust accounting rules and principlesExperience with Aderant Expert
