Job DescriptionWe're seeking a Operating Engineer who's ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter - and build a career with a company that's building North America.Job Title: Operating Engineer | Req ID: 16576 | HR Contact: Shawnta Vergo| Location: Bridgeton AGG MOABOUT THE ROLE\nOur Operator position is a key position transporting materials throughout the sand and gravel site into piles, depending upon production/shipping requirements, general plant maintenance, operating dryer and bag plant.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH\n\nDepending upon site operational requirements, operating mobile equipment to include, but not limited to front end loaders and skid steer loaders.\nInspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheets and report problems.\nCorrect malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report to plant supervisor if corrections cannot be made.\nDo any cleanup that is necessary to have a better and safer working environment.\nTaking accurate and reliable counts of material additions as required.\nOperates and maintains equipment related to sand plant operations.\nPerformance general maintenance to plant and equipment to include greasing bearings, replacing guards, changing drive belts and gear boxes, replacing rollers and bearings, changing conveyor belts, replacing skirting, changing wear liners/hammers, welding, fabrication and oil changes.\nWalk the site, observing conveyors for proper function and reviewing safety issues.\nDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\nEducation: GED or High School Diploma preferredAdditional Requirements:\n\nAbility to learn stockpile and plant flow.\nAbility to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions.\nHighly dependable, ability to work in a fast paced environment.\nPrevious experience in a construction, sand and gravel or quarry environment is preferred.\nMSHA certified preferred\nMechanical aptitude as necessary to sustain plant operations; experience greasing bearings, change gear boxes and replacing bearing, welding and fabricating preferred.\nExperienced with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment\nSelf-motivated with a solid work ethic\nThis job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employees may have work schedules adjusted on short notice.\nMust become a member of OE513.\nSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
