By day, we offer wellness programming, and by night, we transform into an intimate venue hosting events that use music and all forms of the arts for healing and connection.Position OverviewThe Event Promoter & Curator will be responsible for curating and promoting a dynamic lineup of evening programming at our 150-200 capacity venue in Brooklyn, NY. This role requires a well-networked individual who can book a range of events, including concerts from renowned artists, talks, comedy shows, and more. The ideal candidate will also promote these events, drawing their audience to the venue while collaborating with our team to engage the local community. This role is key to filling the venue with high-quality programming 5-10 nights per week and driving ticket sales.Key Responsibilities:Event Booking & Programming:Curate a diverse series of evening events, including live music, talks, comedy shows, and other engaging performances.Source and book artists, speakers, and performers with established followings.Manage a packed calendar of events, ensuring 5-10 nights of quality programming per month.Collaborate with the Sound Mind team to align event programming with our mission and audience.Work closely with the venue’s on-site team to coordinate event logistics.Promotions & Audience Development:Develop and execute promotional strategies to ensure strong event attendance.Leverage existing networks and relationships to bring in a diverse audience.Collaborate with our marketing team to promote events through social media, email newsletters, and local partnerships.Track and report on ticket sales and promotional efforts.Client & Artist Management:Serve as the primary contact for artists, agents, and other key stakeholders during the booking and event process.Manage artist agreements and coordinate event timelines with performers and venue staff.Foster relationships with performers for potential future collaborations.Qualifications:3+ years of experience in event promotion, entertainment, or booking.Strong network in the music, comedy, or entertainment industry, with proven experience booking talent.Demonstrated success in promoting events and driving audience turnout.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaborate with a larger team.Compensation: The compensation for this role is flexible and will be based on discussions with the selected candidate.
