Job Title: Application DeveloperLocation: Pittsburgh, PA 15205 USADuration: 12 MonthsThis position will advise and education the Digital development team on technologies to get them more proficient with their technical skill set.This position will be Pittsburgh based and be required to be in the office a minimum of 3 work days a week.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deploymentArchitect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scaleWork primarily in Covestro recommended and supported software suiteEngage with technical project managers and key internal stakeholders across various groupsEnsure strong documentation via GitHub and other documentation toolsTechnical RequirementsAWS CloudFormation, Terraform or similar infrastructure as code experienceJavascript front end coding or other similar languages with secondhand experience of AI assisted codingPython experienceSQL database experience (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)CI/CD experience preferably with GitHub actions or GitLab runnerUnderstanding of networks for applications (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, DMZs, etc.)Additional RequirementsStrong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate & work with a cross function of technical as well as supply chain personnel.Ability to take on various projects simultaneously.Ability to explain to & educate co-workers on technical details.Schedule flexibility to days in the office.QualificationsB.S. or above in Computer Science, Information Science or related degree3+ years technical development experienceIntegration with SAP / ERP sExperience with Docker / ECSCost optimization in AWSknowledge transfer backgroundAgile methodologySQL and SQL toolsRPA developmentApplication load balancersNetwork understandingExperience with React or Angular
