The counselor will provide direct support to clients through individual, couples, and/or family therapy sessions, focusing on addressing their mental health challenges. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, facilitating therapeutic interventions, and maintaining detailed documentation. Collaboration with a team of therapists. Staying informed about best practices and trends in mental health care will also be part of the role.QualificationsProficient in conducting mental health assessments, creating treatment plans, and providing individual, couples, and/or family therapyStrong interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills to build trust and rapport with clientsExperience in maintaining detailed and accurate client records and documentation, adhering to industry standards and confidentiality guidelinesKnowledge of mental health best practices, including emerging trends and evidence-based therapeutic approachesCompassionate, patient, and able to manage sensitive and emotionally charged situationsMaster's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related fieldValid licensure or certification as a Resident in Counseling, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of VirginiaPrior experience in outpatient or clinical counseling is strongly preferred
