Role Description
Valiant Solutions is seeking a Program Manager, specifically skilled in Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), to join our rapidly growing and innovative cybersecurity team.
This position is primarily a telework arrangement, but ideally located in the Washington, DC Metro area. Remote work requires a high level of trust in our employees, and we strictly adhere to the details outlined in our Remote Work Policy below.
The Program Manager will lead a team that:
Provides cybersecurity management for operational performance and compliance for all networks, systems, and applications.
Offers centralized management of Security Assessments (SA), ongoing assessments, and new authorizations.
Performs analysis to ensure security controls are consistently implemented.
Integrates new technology with information security standards.
Develops and executes plans for monitoring and assessing networks, systems, and applications.
Supports sustainment of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
The candidate will have prior experience working with a wide variety of technologies, be well-versed in the current state of Information Security, and be able to interpret requirements of relevant governing bodies (NIST, OMB, GAO, etc).
As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for:
The day-to-day oversight of contractor personnel and Task Order performance, including technical delivery and ideally P&L.
The hands-on technical management of Valiant Cybersecurity and other Information Technology Federal engagements.
Taking an active role in Valiant’s Knowledge Centers and growing professional expertise in emerging Cybersecurity tools and techniques.
Leading your team to ensure the accomplishments of the program are documented and known for broader company efforts through whitepapers, briefing materials, and proposals.
The ideal candidate will be able to execute with limited direction, anticipate customer needs, and proactively support those needs.
Qualifications
7+ years of demonstrated experience leading and managing cybersecurity projects with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work towards strict deadlines.
PMP Certification required.
CISSP Certification required.
Advanced degree in a technical/cyber-related field; direct experience or directly relevant certifications may substitute for the academic credentials.
Knowledge and practical understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
Strong background and understanding of cybersecurity principles, industry security requirements, and best practices.
Domain expertise and implementation experience, providing best practices and recommendations to support the resolution of project challenges, both business and technical.
Proven experience leading and executing executive presentations, demonstrations, and reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements
Ensure projects and enhancements meet all requirements to ensure the projects are completed within schedule, cost, and performance.
Monitor each project, providing timely project assessment per the Contract Service.
Participate in routine and periodic status meetings with key customer personnel, at times on short notice, to convey current status and present risks.
Provide Project management support following industry standards, frameworks, and methodologies.
Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for project progress, risks, issues, and proposed resolutions.
Perform operations management and project management for a variety of information technology deliverables and task orders.
Strategic planning and solution development, both technical and business.
Ensure project-defined deliverables are provided on time and have been quality reviewed.
Establish project schedules and plans with Government Stakeholders.
Track and provide performance management evaluations against the Project Plans.
Ensure delivery on Program and Project deliverables.
Provide presentations and develop demonstrations to support program reporting.
Provide technical support for all team task areas.
Facilitate requirements and data gathering.
Develop and Refine Performance Management Metrics in accordance with Program Goals and Deliverable requirements sessions.
