Supply Planning Coordinator, Portage, MIPosition SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Planner to support the development and execution of supply plans across manufacturing plants and third-party suppliers within a defined product franchise. This role plays a critical part in ensuring alignment between demand forecasts, production scheduling, procurement, and customer service to maintain product availability and optimize supply chain performance.The Supply Planner will partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, customer service, and business stakeholders to ensure demand requirements are translated into actionable supply plans. This individual will help drive inventory optimization, capacity planning, and operational execution while proactively identifying and mitigating supply risks.This position is ideal for an early-career supply chain professional looking to grow within supply planning and operations in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the creation and maintenance of master resource plans based on current demand forecasts to determine production and procurement requirements for finished goods, raw materials, and components across a rolling 24-month horizon.Assist in developing capacity plans to identify potential bottlenecks, supply constraints, and underutilization risks across manufacturing plants and third-party suppliers.Partner with production scheduling, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure supply plans are effectively operationalized and executed.Monitor supply plan performance and support mitigation activities related to backorders, lead time challenges, and future supply risks.Support inventory planning activities, including safety stock management, by analyzing demand variability and supply chain lead times.Ensure product launches, phase-ins, and discontinuations are accurately reflected within the supply plan and communicated effectively to stakeholders.Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly supply planning and execution processes to confirm supply capabilities against business demand requirements.Maintain accurate planning system master data to support effective supply chain execution and planning visibility.Analyze supply chain performance metrics and assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.Provide recommendations to Supply Planning leadership on opportunities to improve planning accuracy, supply continuity, and operational efficiency.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Supply Plan AttainmentSafety Stock HealthCapacity UtilizationBackorder ReductionLead Time PerformanceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply planning, demand planning, production planning, or a related supply chain function preferred.Entry-level graduates with strong analytical capabilities and internship/co-op experience may also be considered.Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, or equivalent required.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.Experience with Power BI or other reporting/visualization tools is a plus.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred AttributesUnderstanding of supply chain planning concepts including inventory management, capacity planning, and forecasting.High attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
