Senior Accounting Manager
Job Description
The Senior Accounting Manager serves as the lead accounting professional at the Madison Heights location and is responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, and reporting activities for the Intellinetics, Inc. subsidiary, Graphic Sciences, Inc. (GSI). This role plays a critical part in managing the daily operations of the accounting function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, and is committed to continuous improvement.Duties & Responsibilities: Financial Operations & LeadershipLead all day-to-day finance operations for the GSI subsidiary, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reportingProvide leadership, guidance, and oversight to accounting staff, including reviewing work and ensuring accuracy and timelinessEstablish, implement, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in alignment with organizational standardsAccounting & ReportingOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reportingPrepare and review financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentationAnalyze operating results, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to managementEnsure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with U.S. GAAPRegulatory & Audit ComplianceSupport quarter-end and year-end close processes related to SEC reporting requirementsLead preparation for quarterly reviews and annual auditsServe as the primary liaison with external auditors, providing documentation and responding to inquiriesProcess Improvement & Systems ManagementIdentify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyManage and maintain NetSuite system integrity for the GSI locationCollaborate with the broader accounting team to standardize procedures across entitiesDevelop and maintain organized financial records and documentation systemsFinancial Analysis & Business SupportPrepare monthly financial analyses and reports for managementEvaluate contracts to determine financial implications and risksSupport budgeting and forecasting processesCross-Functional & Administrative SupportPartner with internal teams to support operational and financial initiativesAssist with HR-related activities, including recruitment support, onboarding processes, and benefits administrationAct as a resource for company policies, procedures, and financial practicesThis role will include additional responsibilities consistent with the position and business needs.Required Skills:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAPProven experience managing and developing accounting staffProficiency with accounting systems and financial reporting tools (NetSuite preferred)Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlinesCompany DescriptionIntellinetics, Inc. empowers organizations to manage, store and protect their important documents and data.
