Outside Sales Representative
GENERAL SUMMARY
Develop and maintain strong customer relations in such a manner that they will purchase from Preferred to increase company sales and profit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop new customer accounts through cold calls, working potential customer lists and contacting contractors in the area, etc.
Maintain positive relations and increase business with current customers.
Accurately estimate materials needed and up sale.
Provide effective product presentation to customers.
Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Negotiate pricing levels with customers in a way that will encourage business and also maintain profitability.
Obtain and record current information on customers.
Coordinate with Sales Manager the status of quotes and orders to ensure commitment to customers are being met.
Oversee the formwork fabrication process.
Achieve growth and hit sales targets
MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Make recommendations to Sales Manager for new product lines and pricing to remain competitive in the market.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as: discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
Attend relevant product training to increase knowledge as required.
Attend and participate in relevant trade shows as required.
Assist in collecting past due accounts payables.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma / GED
4 years of relevant product sales experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Industry relevant product knowledge - Required
Computer skills (typing, email, internet, Office / Excel) - Required
Valid driver's license
