Temporary Nurse Practitioner, Aerodigestive Center (20 hrs.)

Position Summary/ Department Summary:Temporary Nurse Practitioner, Aerodigestive CenterTarget start date May 2026, ending date December 2026Key Responsibilities:Providing patient care coordination, education, and evaluation of care needs for Aerodigestive Center patients in the outpatient settingPartnering with physicians, nurse practitioners, staff nurses, administrative support staff, and multidisciplinary team members (including pulmonary, ORL, SLPs, dietitians) to provide direct team based and independent patient care in the outpatient clinic setting.Providing care coordination by maintaining frequent contact with patients and families between clinic visits including acting as triage contact for patient phone calls and questions as needed, coordinating diagnostic studies and procedures and communicating with referring providers.Ensuring appropriate follow up and care coordination is in place after clinic.Participating in team meetings, assisting with ordering medications and medical supplies, interfacing with insurance and DME companies, participating in quality improvement projects and research.Working 20 hours per week, two 10-hour days (Monday and Thursday) for approximately 6 months, no weekend/evening/or callMinimum QualificationsEducation:* Master of Science in NursingExperience:* 1-3 years of pediatric Nurse Practitioner experience or new NP graduates with strong inpatient pediatric RN experience preferred.Licensure/ Certifications:* MA licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse PNP or FNPbchAPPThe posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
