Stormwater Maintenance, LLC (SMC) is a stable and growing regional environmental restoration and construction firm seeking an experienced Stormwater Maintenance Project Manager to lead and oversee stormwater maintenance operations throughout the DMV region.
This role is responsible for managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and client deliverables for routine and corrective maintenance of stormwater infrastructure. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically competent, and comfortable managing multiple projects while serving as a primary point of contact for clients and inspectors.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations for stormwater maintenance contracts, including routine and corrective maintenance
Supervise and provide operational direction to subcontractors performing field work
Develop and manage complex schedules; coordinate one-off projects with engineers, estimators, and senior management
Ensure appropriate labor, equipment, and materials are assigned to meet contract requirements and deadlines
Serve as a primary liaison with clients, inspectors, engineers, and local jurisdiction officials
Review field documentation and photos to verify quality control and compliance with specifications
Enforce workmanship, safety, and site cleanliness standards
Issue work orders, track progress, and verify completion
Prepare and review complex client invoices and approve subcontractor invoices
Maintain accurate and timely digital documentation including daily logs, schedules, work orders, and closeout materials
Qualifications & Experience
Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills
Working knowledge of stormwater management practices and maintenance requirements
Ability to read and interpret scopes of work, construction plans, and site drawings
Understanding of civil construction fundamentals (grades, elevations, erosion and sediment control, site safety)
Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision while managing multiple priorities
Proficiency with computers, mobile devices, and digital project documentation systems
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred:
NGICP, CBLP, or similar stormwater-related certifications
Prior experience managing subcontractors and client-facing contracts

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
