Upholstery Sewing Associate

Position SummaryThis position operates a sewing machine, aligning fabric & creating upholstered products for furniture.Position DetailsSews different upholstery products including but not limited to pillows, welt, and other parts as neededAdheres to established sewing standards Adjusts machines to stitch various types of fabricsReads and follows instructions to sew specs and notes providedMaintains equipment and work area in an orderly mannerWorks with different types of sewing machinesWorks off of a production ticket to sew fabric to requestFollows all safety policies and proceduresWorks as part of a team to meet or exceed production goalsLearns additional functions by cross-training in other departments, as neededPosition RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious sewing experience a plusGood hand eye coordination, concentration skills, and a demonstrated attention to detailPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
