Veloz is seeking a Senior Salesforce System Administrator to manage, optimize and support a federal Salesforce Center of Innovation (CoI) as the Platform Support Lead. The COI comprises of over 50 applications across 10 organizations. The ideal candidate will play a multifaceted role and be responsible for user management, system configurations, reporting, SecDevOps monitoring and ITIL-aligned incident management and platform support. This role will ensure cohesiveness between all Tiers and manage the day-to-day operations of services, including incident, service requests, and end-user support. This key role will ensure the smooth operation of the Salesforce platform, providing essential support to various application development teams, and maintaining data integrity and system efficiency. A core part of this role involves managing incoming support requests and meeting established SLAs for incident resolution.
This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and/or active DHS clearance

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): Oversee the generation and management of service request and incident tickets, ensuring timely resolution and closure while maintaining accurate tracking of action items and referrals
Leverage problem-solving skills to diagnose, identify, and analyze issues using standard operating procedures, established knowledge base, and historical data
Configure and customize Salesforce to meet business requirements, including but not limited to workflow rules, process builder, validation rules, and custom objects
Own release management and SecDevOps practices (e.g., managing sandbox refreshes, change sets, and CI/CD pipelines)
Manage user profiles, roles, permissions sets, and sharing rules to ensure data security and integrity.
Collaborate with IT Security and compliance teams to conduct audits, manage system access control, perform data cleansing and maintenance activities, and adhere to strict government data governance protocols
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within Salesforce
Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users in a timely manner
Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards to provide insights into key metrics and performance indicators
Conduct regular system audits and perform data cleansing and maintenance activities as needed
Stay current with Salesforce releases and new features and provide recommendations for optimization and enhancement
Provide ongoing training and support to end-users to maximize adoption and utilization of Salesforce
Creating and maintaining clear documentation to support users and internal teams
What is Required (Qualifications): Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator II (formerly Advanced Administrator) with experience in advanced system configuration, complex business logic, and reporting is required
8+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator, with a solid understanding of Salesforce configuration and customization
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Proficiency in Salesforce Lightning Experience and familiarity with Salesforce Classic. Additional certifications such as Platform App Builder are a plus
Experience with Salesforce integrations, knowledge Apex and API-based integrations
Salesforce Proficiency with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service+, Shield, Own (formerly OwnBackup)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Proficiency with Agile Project Management and use of JIRA and Confluence
Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) with all levels within the organization
Excellent Organizational Skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users in a timely manner
Nice to Have (Preferred): Experience with DHS programs
Knowledge of enterprise governance, TRM processes, and AI/automation initiatives
Familiarity with Section 508, FISMA, and FedRAMP requirements
ITIL Certification
Eligibility Requirements: U.S. Citizenship
Active DHS clearance or Top Secret DoD Clearance
