Senior Associate Attorney
Role DescriptionThe Senior Associate Attorney will serve as a key legal advisor and courtroom advocate within the firm’s creditors’ rights and collections litigation practice. This full‑time hybrid role, based in Kansas City, MO, offers the flexibility of partial remote work and no billable hour requirements.The attorney will manage a contested litigation docket, conduct legal research, draft and review pleadings, appear in court, and negotiate resolutions with opposing counsel. This role requires strong judgment, efficiency, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams to drive favorable outcomes for clients. The Senior Associate Attorney will also ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, including FDCPA and related statutesQualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Missouri State Bar (additional state licenses a plus)Experience in creditors’ rights, collections litigation, or high‑volume civil litigationStrong skills in legal research, motion practice, and drafting pleadingsProven ability to negotiate settlements and manage contested mattersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environmentPrior law firm or in‑house litigation experience preferredHigh attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comfort managing a fast‑paced docket
