Machine Operator - 1st & 2nd Shift

Machine OperatorQPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Machine Operator at a company in Euless, TX. This is a potential to hire position for 1st or 2nd shift.1st $20.00/hour (6:00am - 2:30pm) 2nd $20.60/hour (2:00pm - 10:30pm)Responsibilities:Operate multiple types of fabrication equipmentOperate tools according to instructions, specifications and standard chartsPlace and secure work pieces in proper machine table, holding device or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenchesLoad, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using various manufacturing equipment to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on work orders and blueprintsComplete project work as needed involving the assembly of parts that require the use of hand tools, paint accessories and mechanical devicesComplete work order paperworkPerform in-process inspection according to standard proceduresMaintain count and perform packaging duties as requiredParticipate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the departmentPerform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubricationMaintain clean and organized work areaDetermine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for useMake suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiencyAssist with training other team membersFollow safety rules and quality standardsModel ethical and moral behavior consistent with the company valuesRequirements:High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experiencePrevious experience in the manufacturing industryExcellent math and problem-solving skillsGood communication skillsWillingness to adapt and open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of partsAble to perform work independently with minimal defectsAble to understand drawings and blueprintsAble to use basic measuring instrumentsAble to follow written and verbal instructionsAble to work overtime as neededAble to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 poundsWhy Work with QPS?Access to sought-after positions with leading employersDedicated placement specialists who will guide you through every step of the job search processBest of all, our job matching and resume assistance services are 100% free to job seekers!
