Quality Assurance Manager

Growing manufacturing company in the Cleveland-Akron area has an outstanding opportunity available for a Quality Manager.Job Summary:This is a key position accountable for results, with minimal guidance, in the assigned areas of responsibilities. This position will be responsible for developing strategies, priorities and directing implementation in the following areas.Essential Functions:Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or more of the following:Establish and maintain quality management systemManagement Representative for ISO 9001Upgrade and maintain QMS system and oversee certification process.Implement and audit the effectiveness of the quality systemSchedule, coordinate and conduct internal audits QP-17 Internal AuditsCoordinate root cause for Corrective and Preventive Action QP-14Conduct daily MRB meeting QP-13 Nonconforming MaterialRefine/resolve production quality problemsEnter, track and respond to Customer ComplaintsProvide agenda and structure for management review process QP-01 Management ReviewResponsible for revisions to quality procedures and standard operating procedures.Contribute to improvement committee work such as process improvement and visual inspection instructions.All responsibilities from JD-QA Quality EngineerAbility to fill-in for subordinates during periods of absence.Qualifications and Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s Degree or 5-year quality assurance experienceExperience: Minimum 5 yrs high level quality assurance experienceComputer Skills: Proficient with computersFamiliarity with manufacturing standards and systemsPossible overnight/extended travelCommitment to ongoing trainingExperience in plastics, extrusion, thermoplastics, rubber, elastomers, HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, Polyethylene, Polypropylene, thermoforming, or blow molding would be a plus.
