Behavior Technician (Full-Time, No Weekends)

Salem, OR | Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PMMake a lasting impact in the lives of children with autism as a Behavior Technician at AwA. You'll provide one-on-one therapy in a fun, structured clinic environment - helping kids build confidence and independence.Responsibilities:Implement individualized ABA therapy programs under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).Work closely with clients and their families to establish rapport, trust, and effective communication.Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior change.Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to clients, following prescribed treatment plans and intervention strategies.Collect and record data on client progress and behavior during therapy sessions.Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to analyze data and adjust intervention strategies as needed.Assist clients in developing and improving social, communication, and adaptive skills.Incorporate play-based activities and structured teaching methods to engage and teach clients effectively.Maintain a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for clients and actively participate in creating a positive atmosphere.Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in ABA therapy.Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.Assist in preparing progress reports and documentation for client reviews and evaluations.Obtain RBT or Registered Behavior Technician Certification within 6months of employment.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.What Makes AwA Different:Predictable weekday schedule (no evenings or weekends)Early release every Wednesday for paid staff trainingFun culture: Wacky Wednesdays, quarterly team events, peer recognitionAlly Groups like Diversity & Inclusion to keep our community strongCompensation & Benefits:$19/hour starting pay + raises and monthly bonusesHealth, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, and 11 paid holidaysPaid RBT training + certification supportTotal compensation package valued up to $52,500+ annually
