At BAE Electronic Systems, you’ll be among the brightest minds, working on the aerospace and defense industry’s most difficult problems.We are looking for someone who will be joining our Metrology team as a Calibration Technician for our Canal Street Nashua facility. You will be a member of the ES Metrology Team and you will be involved hands on in the calibration of the diverse family of measuring and test equipment used in our labs and factories there. You will be there to promote and provide customer satisfaction to our test equipment users, interfacing with the community to supply technical support and guidance.As a Calibration Technician you will make impacts in the following ways:Perform calibrations on measurement and test equipment (M&TE) in multiple disciplines, including – Dimensional, DC/Low Frequency, RF/Microwave, Mechanical, Thermodynamics, and Time & Frequency, in order to ensure compliance with published specifications.Ensure all calibrations are performed in accordance with documented procedures.Assure the accuracy of the measurements taken by using the proper calibration standards.Maintain secondary and/or working calibration standards.Collect, compile, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration.Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action via adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, etc.Interact with other technicians, Customer Service Representatives, and customers.Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision equipment.Ensure compliance with the BAE Systems Quality SystemWork in a safe manner, following all company safety requirements.Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.Required Education, Experience, & SkillsHigh School diploma2+ years experiences as an on-bench technicianAble to apply metrology experience to a wide range electronic instrumentationFamiliar with the requirements of ISO 17025, ISO 9001, AS9100, and ANSI/NCSL Z-540Computer literate and ability to use lab management softwareStrong verbal communication and listening skillsAbility to obtain a Secret Clearance Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsPMEL training or equivalent formal technical training Must be able to work independently without constant supervisionWork to understand customer needs and requirements through effective communication. Develop customer relationships through excellent customer service by asking and answering calibration questions as neededExcellent organization skills with the ability to handle a busy scheduleUnderstand and comply with safety requirements and always consider safety when executing tasks and projectsComplete calibrations in a timely and accurate mannerPerform other related duties as assignedPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $57319 - $91710Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
