EMS Public Safety Supervisor - Huntsville EMS - FT - Shift Varies

OverviewSupervises and coordinates daily activities of receiving emergency or non-emergency calls, dispatching personnel and equipment, and providing pre-arrival instructions to callersResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:(Other duties may be assigned)Answers incoming emergency calls and processes adhering to EMD protocols established by the Academy of Emergency DispatchDispatches emergency calls to closest appropriate unit utilizing the CAD tools to access system statusAnswers and processes non emergent calls for ambulance serviceDispatches non emergent and routine transportsMonitors multiple radio frequencies between ambulances and aircraftsPrepares work schedules to ensure that sufficient shift personnel are available for workload demands.Reviews daily transfers and communicates with Operations to insure proper ambulance staffingPerforms weekly call review of EMD qualityTroubleshoot CAD, radio, and AVL for weekly quality checksPerforms training of new employeesOversees Shift Leads for management successionBehavioral Core Competencies:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies on a daily basis.
