Job Description: VP, Carrier Strategies (East)Job Title: VP, Carrier StrategiesLocation: must reside in either Ohio or New JerseyReports to: SVP, Carrier StrategiesDepartment: Carrier StrategiesFLSA Status: Salary/ExemptJob Purpose:The role involves implementing a strategic plan to enhance revenue growth through carrier relationships and commission structures that align with regional business strategy and local market opportunities. The position requires collaboration with the SVP – Carrier Strategies and Carrier Relations leaders to execute projects aimed at maximizing revenue opportunitiesKey responsibilities include working with Strategic Carrier Partners to deliver opportunities and monitor revenue-driving initiatives, proficiently using Excel, Epic, and Ennabl to generate lists and business opportunities, and maintaining organization to track the success of these initiatives.Key Responsibilities:1. Drive Revenue GrowthImplement a strategic plan to enhance revenue growth through carrier relationships and commission structures that align with regional business strategy and local market opportunities.Collaborate with SVP – Carrier Strategies and Carrier Relations leaders in the field to execute projects aimed at maximizing revenue opportunities.Work with Strategic Carrier Partners to deliver opportunities and monitor revenue-driving initiativesProficiently use Excel, Epic, and Ennabl to generate lists and business opportunities.2. Maintain Organization to Track Success of InitiativesCoordinate with producers and offices to ensure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and partnerships.Own regional carrier relationshipsAssist Carrier Strategies with ongoing opportunities and initiatives. Support the Carrier Strategies team in preparing for meetings, events, and planning sessions.Collaborate with the Carrier Strategies team to effectively track, forecast, and budget GSC and contingent income.3. Manage and Enhance Market RelationshipsSupport ALKEME Regional Leaders with market intelligence and collaborate on compensation and business plan development.Collaborate with the Carrier Strategies leadership to forecast, analyze, and report contingent and supplemental commission performance.Evaluate and report carriers' underwriting efficiency.4. Assist M&A Due Diligence ProcessCreate and maintain executive summaries for top carrier relationships.Monitor and chase reports from insurance carriers.Conduct producer surveys to gather feedback for identifying gaps or opportunities in carrier alignment.Qualifications:Minimum of 7 years of experience in the insurance industry, property and casualty, risk management, life and health insurance, and bank-related insurance products in a senior production or leadership role.Bachelor's degree.Direct experience working with carriers and their representatives.Extensive industry knowledge required.Exceptional project management skills (ability to establish, develop, implement, and execute marketing plans).Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to interface and work collaboratively with colleagues and management at various levels within an organization.Strong ability to influence, create demand, and negotiate with internal and external clients.Capacity to think strategically and innovatively while constructively challenging existing norms.Ability to operate efficiently under pressure without compromising quality or service, including managing demanding deadlines, changing requirements, and working with limited resources and information.Effective leadership at all organizational levels.Consistently maintains commitments, keeps others informed of work progress, timetables, and issues, and addresses problems constructively to find practical business solutions.Working ConditionsPrimarily office-based with potential for hybrid flexibility depending on business needs.Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.May require occasional extended hours during renewal periods or peak workloads.Must be able to pull or lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
