IT Infrastructure Manager

Job Description: Leading a small team, this role is responsible for oversight & management (provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance) of critical hardware systems and related infrastructure. Assists both project and business teams with technical issues and participates in planning, design, implementation, and support within the project life cycle. Researches and stays up to date with current trends in systems and infrastructure developments. The IT/Infrastructure Manager will work closely with the IT lead and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. A Day in the Life Oversee system administration, including deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, and support of IT systems (networks, servers, PCs, and hardware). Ensure efficient utilization of IT resources, including personnel and equipment, across the organization. Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and configuration issues, with a focus on preventing recurring problems. Lead staff development, including performance evaluations, training, and career growth support. Conduct annual reviews and manage recruitment, hiring, and scheduling to meet business needs. Assist in strategy and planning for infrastructure systems, including hardware, networking, and security. Work closely with the IT lead and decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. Manage operations staffing, from recruitment to supervision, development, and evaluation. Oversee vendor partnerships to improve Help Desk functionality and efficiency. Lead Veit's security improvement efforts, ensuring robust IT security posture. Demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Perform additional projects or duties as assigned by management. What You'll Need Bachelor’s degree in technology related area & six years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education/experience. Over 6 years of hands-on administration experience in managing Microsoft Server technologies within medium-scale, complex organizations Proven ability to diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and configuration issues, with a focus on preventing recurrence Strong communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with individuals across varying levels of technical expertise. A results-driven leader, leveraging extensive experience and judgment to plan, execute, and achieve organizational goals. Preferred Experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure, platform, and software services. Experience with advanced networking & firewall configuration skills preferred. Supervisory Responsibility Oversee, mentor, and develop providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of efficiency and effectiveness. Hire, train, develop and review all direct reports. Takes disciplinary action as necessary, on a timely basis, and in accordance with company policy. Documents, plans, and delivers meaningful and timely performance reviews and motivates and recognizes employees timely. Ensures new hires are properly trained and employees are cross trained within the department to support continuous employee development. Who Are We?
