IP Patent Paralegal

LHH is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Patent Paralegal to support its Chemical Science Practice Group. This role will focus on managing patent prosecution matters for sophisticated global client portfolios, including pharmaceutical and university clients.Key ResponsibilitiesManage docketing and patent prosecution for global client portfoliosPrepare and file patent applications with the USPTO, WIPO, and international authoritiesHandle a variety of filings, including:Provisional & Non-Provisional ApplicationsPCT & U.S. National Stage FilingsDesign & Track 1 ApplicationsConvention FilingsPrepare and file key prosecution documents (IDS, Office Action responses, Issue Fee Transmittals, etc.)Review and analyze correspondence from USPTO, WIPO, and international counselMaintain and update IDS charts, docket systems, and client portfolio reportsCoordinate with attorneys, clients, and international agents on deadlines and filingsManage case files, document systems, and client portalsConduct research and compile data as neededSupport project management across multiple high-level IP mattersSkills & ExpertiseStrong knowledge of USPTO, PCT, and international patent proceduresExperience with ePCT filingsFamiliarity with chemical formulas and sequence listingsAdvanced docketing and deadline management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe)Qualifications5+ years of IP patent paralegal experienceExperience supporting pharmaceutical and/or university portfoliosDocketing experience required (CPi preferred)Paralegal Certificate requiredCompensation & BenefitsSalary range: $110,000 – $150,000 (based on experience)Comprehensive benefits package including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with firm contributionsPaid time off and sick leaveLife, disability, and AD&D insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramParking/transit reimbursement (varies by location) Work ModelHybrid schedule (combination of in-office and remote work)Locations: Chicago, Edwardsville, Kansas City, or St. LouisEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacyThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:• The California Fair Chance Act• Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance• Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers• San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
